Table
“I am convinced that any table can be for each of us a landscape as inexhaustible as the whole Andes range; and, for this reason—every place, for my eyes, being equal to every other—I see little use in traveling. I must say I have all my life always loved tables.”
—Jean Dubuffet “Landscaped Tables, Landscapes of the Mind, Stones of Philosophy”
Since 2008 my little white Ikea kitchen table has been my muse, a blank canvas that illustrates how everything constantly changes, moment-to-moment, day-to-day. I’ve done many different series of works inspired by my table, with each series comprising dozens of individual works. Media I’ve used for the various series includes acrylic, watercolor, and Prismacolor.
